Timeline Television’s latest outside broadcast truck, UHD2, is now on the road with the MatchBox 4K from Hitomi Broadcast. This provides extremely accurate measurement of audio and video alignment, ensuring that sound and pictures stay in perfect synchronisation throughout the SDI and IP connectivity.
With the UHD live broadcast finding its feet, line up from OB through an unproven 4K quad-link path can be challenging. In a matter of seconds, MatchBox 4K will check whether video and audio are in sync, that audio channels are coherent are timed with each other (to a subsample precision), and quadrants are correctly timed with respect to each other.
Hitomi Broadcast strengthens its team with the recently appointed Steve Pritchard as Lead Engineer.
Steve joins Hitomi from Snell Advanced Media bringing to the company a wealth of 16 years of Broadcast Engineering experience.
